Pilot meeting between the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security and Civil Society Groups

Law Council representatives were invited to attend a pilot meeting held on the 26 June 2019 with the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security and representatives from the IGIS office and a variety of Civil Society Groups.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss whether a forum for discussion such as this would be beneficial for all the parties involved and to address the work of the IGIS and important national security issues.
It was noted that such a forum would be useful.
