Singapore Opening of the Legal Year

On 11–12 January 2026, Law Council President Tania Wolff attended events to mark the Opening of the Legal Year in Singapore. President Wolff attended a welcome dinner hosted by the Law Society of Singapore and the Opening of the Legal Year 2026 Ceremony at the Supreme Court of Singapore.
In addition to the ceremonial proceedings, President Wolff participated in a Presidents’ Roundtable on comparative perspectives on methods of billing clients and remuneration for legal services. President Wolff also held bilateral meetings with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Singapore, the President of the Law Society of Singapore, and the President of LAWASIA.
