Exposure draft of the Competition and Consumer (Notification of Acquisitions) Amendment (2025 Measures No. 1) Determination 2025

This submission is made by the Competition and Consumer Committee of the Business Law Section, with some input from the Superannuation Committee of the Legal Practice Section of the Law Council of Australia (the Committees).
The Committees welcome the opportunity to comment on the draft determination. Given the very short window for responding to the consultation and the urgency required in terms of any finalisation of the instrument, the Committees focus in this short submission only on a number of critical concerns with the determination.
