Impact of the High Court’s decision in Aristocrat v Commissioner of Patents
The Intellectual Property Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia (IPC) provided a submission to IP Australia on whether the current law (and the uncertainty arising from the High Court’s decision in Aristocrat Technologies Australia Pty Ltd v Commissioner of Patents [2022] HCA 29 (Aristocrat)) is creating practical commercial issues for businesses that are active in the computer-implemented invention space.
