Implementation of ASIC Enforcement Review Taskforce – Directions Powers
The submission to Treasury in relation to the Financial Services Royal Commission Recommendation 7.2, which proposes to expand the powers of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to issue directions was prepared by the Law Council of Australia, the Corporations Committee of the Law Council’s Business Law Section, the Australian Consumer Law Committee of the Law Council’s Legal Practice Section and the Superannuation Committee of the Law Council’s Legal Practice Section.
