Independent Reports from the University of Queensland on the Plant Breeder’s Rights System
The Intellectual Property Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia (the IPC) provided a submission to IP Australia to respond to the independent reports from the University of Queensland on the Plant Breeder’s Rights (PBR) system.
Set out in the submissions are comments on various of the recommendations in the reports, made by reference to paragraph or section numbering adopted in the respective reports. Where a recommendation is not mentioned in this response, that is because the IPC either does not have, or has not yet reached, a concluded view on it.
