Public Sector Whistleblower Reforms

The Law Council of Australia welcomes the opportunity to provide a submission to the Attorney-General’s Department (Department) in response to the consultation on proposed public sector whistleblower reforms.
The Law Council is particularly grateful for the opportunity to comment on the Exposure Draft of the Public Interest Disclosure and Other Legislation Amendment (Whistleblower Protections) Bill 2025 (Cth) (the Draft Bill).
The Law Council acknowledges the assistance of the Law Council’s National Human Rights Committee and National Criminal Law Committee, the Law Society of New South Wales and the Law Institute of Victoria in developing this submission.
