Relief to Foreign Financial Service Providers
The submission to the Treasury in response to its Consultation Paper on Relief to Foreign Financial Service Providers was prepared by the Financial Services Committee and the Corporations Committee of the Business Law Section.
The Financial Services Committee and the Corporations Committee support the proposal in the 2021-22 Budget to consult on options to restore the well-established regulatory relief for FFSPs to enable them to deal with wholesale clients, as well as proposals to create a fast track licensing process.
