Review of the Franchising Code of Conduct

The Law Council of Australia provided a submission to Treasury in response to the Review of the Franchising Code of Conduct, Consultation Paper, dated August 2023 (the Consultation Paper). 

This submission has been prepared by the Small and Medium Enterprise Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia (SME Committee) with additional input from the Law Society of NSW’s Business Law Committee (LSNSW). The SME Committee has as its primary focus the consideration of legal issues affecting small businesses and medium enterprises in the development of national legal policy in that domain. Its membership is comprised of legal practitioners who are extensively involved in legal issues affecting SMEs.
