Supplementary Submission: Questions on Notice – Financial Services Regulatory Framework in Relation to Financial Abuse

On 20 September 2024, the Law Council appeared before the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services (the Committee) as part of its inquiry into financial services regulatory frameworks in relation to financial abuse.
On 24 September 2024, the Law Council received correspondence from the Committee containing several written questions on notice. These questions were in addition to matters placed on notice at the public hearing. Responses to these questions are set out in the submission.
