Equal Opportunity Committee
The Law Council's Equal Opportunity Committee exists primarily to advise the Law Council on matters related to inclusion and diversity and achieving equality of workplace opportunity within the Australian legal profession. This includes:
- promoting and monitoring the Law Council’s Equitable Briefing Policy and Diversity and Equality Charter;
- identifying and where appropriate establishing policies, procedure or guidelines on an inclusive legal workplace culture for individuals who are Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, First Nations, part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have a disability; and
- advocating on specific matters such as mental health and wellbeing, bullying and harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, gender pay gap within the legal profession.

Membership is drawn from the Law Council's constituent bodies with an additional member representing Australian Women Lawyers. The current members of the committee are:
