Law Council of Australia

The Justice Project

Get Involved

We’re calling on Australians to get involved

To adequately address injustices, we need to hear from as many people and organisations as possible.

The Law Council is calling on Australians, particularly those who identify or work with those priority groups, to get involved in The Justice Project.

We want to identify systemic flaws, gaps in the system, but also highlight what is working well.

We are seeking both formal submissions as well as informal stories from people affected.

The Law Council is also taking the Project on the road visiting numerous rural, regional and metro locations Australia-wide to gather evidence.

Consultation findings will provide an evidence-based policy approach which seeks to improve social outcomes rather than further entrenching disadvantage and community costs.

Making a submission

The Law Council seeks submissions in response to the questions Introduction and Consultation Questions Paper, and the themes raised in The Justice Project issues papers.

Tell us your story

As well as more formal submissions, The Justice Project is seeking personal stories from individuals.

We are calling on Australians, particularly those who identify with the 13 priority groups, to share their experiences.

Personal stories and can be as long or as short as you wish.

Your stories will help build the case for a better, stronger system, one where equal access to justice is a right, not a privilege.

You can share your story by emailing us here or contacting us by phone (02) 6246 3788. You can also post your story to the address above.

We are seeking your stories by 30 September 2017.
