Legal Technology Committee
The purpose of the Legal Technology Committee is to:
- develop best practice protocols for the use of technology at every step of disputes, from pre-litigation to digital hearings (including appeals);
- engage the profession and courts in ongoing conversation to maintain consistency and reflect current trends in technology;
- contribute to the work of the Federal Court, including in the development of the Law Council’s Case Management Handbook chapters which relate to legal technology;
- emphasise the use of technology to improve access to justice; and
- engage in continuing legal education of the profession in relation to legal technology.
